I had this going out of the box with WPA on my DG834GV for about a year. Then I decided to change my WEP password on my router, but when I tried to change it on WPS54G it wouldn’t save it! I reset the server and it can save SSID name but not PSK password. I updated firmware to 6049 and now I have PSK2 in options, but it does not save the password. I try every possible security mode including 64bit and 128bit hex keys but it will not save it. After the reset I always get - security mode: none! I removed security mode in my router and then it works!!! Conclusion: if it is not dead out of the box - it will die on you sooner or later. LinkSys sucks big time! I had a VOIP box PAP2-NA form LinkSys and nothing but problems. First unit was dropping the signal too often. Bought another one it worked 20 minutes and then stopped suddenly. It would flash power light endlessly. I sent it back and got the replacement unit. It worked ok one week and then it started to drop the signal before it ended in the bin. Not only I will never get another LinkSys product, but I will strongly advise everyone else to buy anything but LinkSys. Calling the support is waist of time too!

It is really TRASH!!! I have installed hundred of wireless device and I have never seen an unstable product like this one!

agree with the blog however Seo's plays an important role in diverting internet traffic and a part from that they provide bread and butter to lot of people who are working for them.

wasted 1hr with tech support from inda trying to get the worthless piece of crap to work . Got RA . Was sent QA tested replacement unit. Replacment unit would not connect. Wasted another 45min with tech support from india ....was then was told I was being transfred to supervisor and was disconnected. Called back waited on hold for 30 min asked to talk to supervisior and was disconnected again. Called again was told someone would call me back in an hour they were busy . NO ONE SHOULD BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP AND WASTE THIER TIME AND MONEY . I will never buy another linksys product again .

This print server is not working at all. I have printer HP laser 1020... When I attach usb, everything stop working. Im going to throw it to trash... Thank you linksys for the best product ever.

My pet peeve is that the WPA key can only be entered as a pass phrase and not as a hex key. Sigh.

Managed to get it working in wired mode with Vista and Server 2008 using LPR. Bidirectional support works so the Epson print monitor does its stuff.

Definitely not for the feint of heart. I was thinking of replacing D-link with Linksys when I upgrade to Wireless N but now I'm having second thoughts.
